Harvey G. Wagner, Sr. 73, of 3447 Rich Valley Rd., Emporium, PA died at Kane Lutheran Home, Kane, PA on Sunday (April 14, 2013) morning following a lengthy illness.
He was born February 16, 1939 in Danville, PA a son of the late John A. and Helen Miller Wagner.
On Aug 22, 1959 he married Nancy Patterson Wagner, who survives.

Mr. Wagner and his wife Nancy, whom he met in college, were married over 53 years. He graduated from Danville High School, Juniata College and received his masters from Bucknell University. He retired, after over 42 years, from the Cameron County High School where he was an american history teacher. He loved teaching his students, gardening in his perennial garden, raising his dogs and spending time at his beloved home and property, both in Emporium and Avon, NC. Harvey was very proud of his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a loving son, husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Emporium.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5-8 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Wednesday (April 17, 2013) at 1:00 PM with Rev. Bruce Burkness, Pastor, St John's Lutheran Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Rich Valley Cemetery, Emporium
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, E. Second Street, Emporium, PA 15834
