PennDOT is still seeking volunteers for this year’s Great American Cleanup of
Pennsylvania, which began March 1 and runs through May 31.
The Great American Cleanup is a one-day commitment, but volunteers can also make a regular contribution through PennDOT’s Adopt-A-Highway program. By joining Adopt-A-Highway, clean-up groups commit to a minimum of two pick-ups per year. Many of PennDOT’s 7,1000 Adopt-A-Highway groups, who collect trash year ‘round, also join in the Great American Cleanup. Anyone interested in volunteering for the Great American Cleanup or Adopt-A-Highway can contact Cassie Morey, the Cameron and Potter counties coordinator at 814-260-9648. You can also go to www.gacofpa.org for information.
PennDOT provides gloves, trash bags and safety vests to cleanup volunteers.
Call Cassie Morey at 814-260-9648 to volunteer and get your supplies.
