It’s that time of year again: Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend.
We “spring forward” one hour at 2:00 Sunday morning, though many digital clocks will adjust automatically. This is also the perfect time to check your smoke detectors

Not everyone in the U.S. makes the switch from standard time. The exceptions are Hawaii, most of Arizona, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, Guam and the Northern Marianas.
In 2005, President BUSH signed into law a new energy policy bill that would extend DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME by four weeks beginning in 2007, so DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME now begins at 2am on the second SUNDAY of MARCH and DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME ends at 2am on the first SUNDAY of NOVEMBER.

Standard time returns this year on Nov. 3
