Andrew P Pushcar

 
EMPORIUM - Andrew P. Pushcar, 92, formerly of West 7th St., Emporium, died Saturday (March 16, 2013) in Sena-Kean Manor, Smethport.
Born Dec. 4, 1920, in Emporium, he was the son of the late Paul and Elizabeth Gabrick Pushcar. On July 16, 1951, in Emporium, he married Stella Livoto, who survives.
 
Mr. Pushcar was a veteran of World War II having served with the U.S. Army.
A lifelong resident of Emporium, he was a 1939 graduate of Emporium High School and was employed by Cameron Manufacturing in Emporium. He was later hired as a stockroom clerk by Sylvania Electric in Emporium, where he was employed for 47 years before retiring.
He was a member of St. Mark Church in Emporium, and a former member of Sylvania's Quarter Century Club and Camp F.D.R.
 
Surviving, in addition to his wife Stella, are one son, Michael J. (Cheryl) Pushcar of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one daughter, Mary "Tootsie" (Rich) Stuart of Emporium; six grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Jamie, Aaron, Sean and Joel; and many nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Rita Shoop.
 
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers; and three sisters.
Visitation with video tribute will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mark Church with the Rev. Paul Siebert, pastor, officiating.
 Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery, Emporium. Military honors will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
