Gary R. Kamats, 65

Gary R. Kamats, 65, of 1058 Gardeau Rd., Emporium, PA
died at DuBois Regional Medical Center, DuBois on Wednesday (January 16, 2013) afternoon.
He was born June 24, 1947 in St. Marys a son of the late George and Clara Zoschg Karats.
On August 29, 1970 in St. Leo Catholic Church, Ridgway he married Jane Imhof Kamats, who survives.
Gary graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1965. He served with the US Army during Vietnam Era. He then graduated from the University of Miami where he received an accounting degree. He was a partner of Kamats & Wolfanger, LLC., an accounting firm, in St. Marys. Gary was a very active member of the St. Marys Rotary Club where he had served as president and was currently serving on the board of directors as he had for many years. He was also a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. Gary enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, cooking and working around his home. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

Visitation with video tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8 PM.
 
Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (January 19, 2013) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant. A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail following Mass.
Burial will be in the Portage Township Cemetery, Gardeau.
