Thomas W. Kamats



Thomas W. Kamats, 78, of 1175 Plank Rd., Emporium died at his residence on Wednesday (October 3, 2012) afternoon.
He was born December 16, 1933 in Emporium a son of the late Thomas and Anna Kephart Kamats.
On June 30, 1956 in Austin he married Margaret Galeotti Kamats, who Survives.
 
Mr. Kamats graduated from Emporium High School in the class of 1953. He served with the US Marines in Paris Island. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, antiques and was a avid gun enthusiast. Tom worked as a Cameron County deputy sheriff for many years. He also worked part time for the Emporium Borough police department and as a deputy game warden under Norman Erickson.

Parents: Thomas and Anna Kephart Kamats
Son: Michael T. Kamats in 1982
Granddaughter in infancy
Brother: Paul Kamats
 
At his request there will be no services and no visitation.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium
Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
