Evelyn J. Kavulic, 88, formerly of Emporium, died Friday, December 10, 2010, in Sena Kean Manor, Smethport.
Born October 22, 1922 in DuBois, she was the daughter of Andrew and Margaret Mould Watt. On November 2, 1945 in Port Allegany, she married Martin N. Kavulic who died December 1, 1988.
A longtime resident of Emporium, Mrs. Kavulic relocated to Limestone, NY in 1990 to be near her daughter.
Mrs. Kavulic was employed for many years by The Warner Hotel in Emporium as a waitress until the hotel was closed. In 1964 she went to work for Penn Vend in Emporium and was employed there for many years until they also closed.
Mrs. Kavulic attended the First United Methodist Church in Emporium.
She is survived by: one son, Frederick (Catherine) Kavulic of Henniker, NH; one daughter, Phyllis Montgomery of Allegany, NY; four grandchildren, Janet (Don) Sutton of Hinsdale, NY, Kellee (Chris) Gangemi of Concord, NC, Jessica (Mike) Brandow of Jamestown, NY, and Sgt. Jesse Montgomery of Fort Drum, NY; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Kavulic was predeceased by six sisters and four brothers.
Visitations with video tribute will be held in the Coppersmith-Condon Funeral Home, Emporium on Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 11 a.m.-12 noon at which time a Memorial Service will follow with the Rev. Gary Atkinson, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
