Lois Clinger
Lois Clinger, 85, of 54 S. Maple St., Emporium died at Pinecrest Manor, St. Marys on Thursday (April 14, 2011) morning. She was born February 13, 1926 in St. Petersburg, Florida a daughter of the late Bruce Luman and Ella Black Rhines. On September 21, 1991 in Emporium she married the late Lyman F. Maines. Mrs. Clingers first husband was Jack Clinger whom she married Feb. 13, 1946.
She attended Emporium High School. She worked as a mail girl for Sylvania during WW II when Emporium was known as "Girl Town USA" She then worked for the various companies like GTE Sylvania, Philips Electronics & Tau Electronics. She also worked for Meisel's Dress Store. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for several years. She was a floor manager of the former Emporium Skating Rink a 16 year member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 194, Emporium and was a past president of the Guy and Mary Felt Manor Auxiliary for several years.

8 Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Cory, Toni, Brittaney, Jacy, Kalani, Karrie & Destiny
2 Great Great Grandchildren: Isaac & Ivan
A nephew whom she helped raise: Philip "Terry" Barker, Fort Myers, FL

Visitation with Video Tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Saturday (April 16, 2011) at 1:00 PM with Rev. R. Scott Melott, Pastor of the First Baptist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium.
