No Injuries In Saturdays Crash

No one was injured on Saturday in a 2 vehicle crash on Route 120 in Lumber Township at 12:20 pm, just under a mile south of Stillhouse Road.
Kenneth F. Stuart, 49, of Emporium, PA, was driving a 1999 Dodge Dakota east on Route 120 and going up a small hill. Because of icy conditions, the Dakota's rear tires began spinning and could not make it up the hill.

The vehicle came to a stop on the roadway and then began ato slide backwards on the icy roadway. The left rear rotated into the westbound lane.

Keith E. Nadji, 21, of Emporium, PA, was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt westbound and had just negotiated the same hill. Upon cresting the hill, Nadji noticed the rear of the Dakota was in the westbound lane. Nadji attempted to avoid a collision but could not. His Cobalt impacted the left rear of the Dakota. After sliding several feet after impact, both units come to rest in the middle of the road.

Neither driver nor Stuart's passenger, George R. Stuart, 47, of Emporium was injured. All were wearing seat belts. Troopers said no charges would be filed.
