Starting today employees of businesses that belong to the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce can lock in lower electric rates. The program is through Chamber Choice and it will lower the bills of Allegheny Power customers from 7.12 cents per kwh to a low a 6.59 cents per kwh.
“Enrollment is as easy as logging onto a website,” explains Cameron County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Tina Johns Lorson. “I’m excited that chamber members have a new benefit to offer employees and it will not cost the employer a dime. In fact employers who have taken advantage of the energy savings program are already seeing savings in their utility bills,” Johns Lorson continued.
Chamber members received an email that included the web site. If any businesses that are not chamber members are interested in the program, contact the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce office at 814-486-4314.
