Wildlife causes crash

An Emporium man was unhurt on Saturday at 3:15 pm when his vehicle crashed into a road sign after hitting 2 foxes that entered the roadway in front of his vehicle on Route 120 in Shippen Township, Cameron County.

Michael W. Roberto, 27, of Emporium, PA, was driving a 2005 Toyota Prius westbound on Route 120 when 4 foxes entered the roadway from the south. Roberto's vehicle struck two of the foxes, causing his vehicle to go into gravel on the right berm where it then struck a road sign.

Roberto was wearing a seat belt and was uninjured. His Toyota was disabled and had to be towed by Ramsey's Towing. State Police filed no charges.
