Big Band Era Dance August 27-29

Cameron County Honors the Big Band Era

As the thermometer rises so do the activities associated with the Cameron County Sesquicentennial. In August a formal dance will be held and the Bucktails will host a Re-Union at the Cameron County Fairgrounds.

Emporium Moose Lodge #368 will turn back the clock to the days of the Big Band era with a dance on Saturday August 14. Men must wear coats and ties while woman must wear dresses. The doors open at 8PM and the dance will continue until midnight. The cost is $2.00 a person and the fundraising will be used to purchase a replacement flag for the Big Flag Memorial.

The weekend of August 27-29 the Bucktails will host a Re-Union for the first time in Emporium since 1896. The public is invited to the events that begin Friday night at 8 with a campfire.
