Library Invites Community to Help Create Giant Puzzle Art Display This June

Library Invites Community to Help Create Giant Puzzle Art Display This June
Get crafty, get colorful, and be part of something big!

The Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library is calling all artists, doodlers, and creative spirits ages 12 and up to take part in a one-of-a-kind community art project happening all June long!

From June 1 through June 30, 2025, the library is hosting a Community Puzzle Art Project—a hands-on, all-ages event where participants can help create a giant puzzle masterpiece that highlights the creativity and connection of the local community.

Here’s how it works: Stop by the library beginning June 1 to pick up a blank puzzle piece. Take it home and decorate it using any art supplies or medium you like—paint, glitter, fabric, markers, collage, and more. The only rule: make sure to keep the original puzzle shape intact so your piece can fit into the final display.

Return your finished piece to the library by June 30, and it will be added to a large collaborative puzzle that will be showcased in a special community art display.

“There’s no wrong way to decorate your piece,” said [Library Director’s Name]. “This is a chance for everyone to get creative and be part of something that brings the whole community together—one puzzle piece at a time.”

Participation is completely free, and no registration is required. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or someone who just loves to get crafty, this project is open to all skill levels.

For more information, contact the library at 814-486-8011 or stop by during open hours.

Let’s come together to make something beautiful!

Golf Tournament Set
Cameron County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its 18 th annual golf tournament on June 12 at the Emporium Country Club. Teams will tee off at noon shooting for skill and cash prizes.

For the past several years, the chamber has streamlined registration. Golfers pay one price and receive all the perks. Executive Director, Tina Solak explains golfers go into tournaments paying a registration fee, then must pay for extras. The chamber tournament fee includes a stuffed chicken breast dinner, 2 drinks during the round of golf, cart, golf, 50/50 ticket, skill and cash prizes, mulligan, red tee and skins. The fee is $80 a person. Registrations are available at Emporium Country Club, or the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce office.
