CCSD 2022-23 Senior Showcase

 

Cameron County School District 2022-23 Senior Showcase 

 Brevin is the son of Scott and Holly Lewis. His favorite memory of high school was playing in a cornhole tournament with Ian Bolin in 7th grade. Brevin played football for 1 year, basketball for 6 years, and golf for 3 years. He is a member of Student Council and participates in Intramural’s.
 Upon graduation Brevin plans to attend a trade school and take an apprenticeship program.

 CCOYA and the Cameron County High School Outdoor club made their annual elk viewing trip last evening. As always, our first stop was the” Top of the world “and the final stop was the elk viewing center in Benezette. We didn’t get to see a lot of action but there were plenty of elk in the field.

County and State Envirothon has Begun

Cameron County Conservation District
 Another year of Envirothon has officially begun!
 Students from McKean & Cameron County School Districts, spent the day at Kinzua Bridge State Park participating in the fall study day. For the remainder of the school year, students will prepare for the County and State Envirothon test in May. Be sure to follow the students journey by following the Cameron County Conservation District Facebook page!

Mega Truck Showdown

Mega truck race will consist of 4 pit course with a $1,500 1st place prize for fastest time. Small trucks are welcome to come and play in the pits after the race. Admission is $10 for spectators and $15 for drivers entering a vehicle. There will be food vendors and drinks available for purchase.

Emporium CMA Church  1st Annual CMA 3D Archery Shoot 
The CMA Mens Ministry of the Emporium Alliance Church will sponsor a 3D archery shoot at the Andrews Farm located on Sizerville Road on October 15, 2022. We will be utilizing CCOYAs 3D course which includes 20 targets from turkey to elk. Everyone must pre-register at the Alliance Church at 1284 Sizerville Road beginning at 12:30 p.m. Shooting to begin at 1:00 p.m. with the last round beginning at 3:00 p.m. This will include two classifications: 16 and under (no fee) and over 16 will be $5.00. Winners and prizes will be announced at 4:00 p.m. at the church with hotdog and refreshments being served throughout the day. This will be a non-sanctioned/casual shoot. No crossbows allowed. Senior Spotlight

 

Cameron County School District 


 Kendall is the daughter of Danielle and Philip Reed. Her favorite memory of high school is playing Just Dance with Delaney during homeroom. Kendall played volleyball for 6 years, basketball for 3 years, track for 3 years and cross country for 1 year. She is a member of the FBLA and the National Business Honor Society. Kendall is a member of student council and the yearbook staff. Upon graduation Kendall plans to attend St. Bonaventure University for a degree in business.


Harold is the son of Christina and Harold Bailey. Harold’s favorite memory of high school is playing Crazy 8 (Uno) with his friends. He has been a member of the golf team for 4 years and played football for 2. Harold is a member of the FBLA. He has been class president 7-12th grade. Harold is a member of the Spanish. He enjoys hunting and fishing and works at the Country Club. Upon graduation Harold plans to attend a 4 year college majoring in Recreation, Park and Tourism Management.

CC Food Pantry Receives Rotary District 7360 Community Grant for 2022-2023

 

Emporium Rotary selected the Cameron County Food Pantry to receive the District 7360 Community Grant for 2022-2023. Emporium Rotary applied and received a matching grant from the Rotary Foundation. This money will aid the Cameron County Food Pantry in providing food to the needy families of our community. 

 Rotarians John Rosenberger, Ken Gerg, Paige Rosenberger, Marsha Hendrickson and Marilyn Erickson presents a check to Father Paul Siebert and Dave Malize, Cameron County Food Pantry administrators.

 The SPCA will be participating in the Autumn festival held at Sizerville State Park, this Saturday, October 1st. 
There will be a bake sale, hot dog lunch, and other SPCA goodies for sale!
