Sinnemahone Paddlers Fill the Stream
The inaugural event for the Sinnemahone Triple Crown held Saturday April 6 registered more than 100 participants. The Sinnemahone Paddle had 99 people enter the water and all finished. The water level was low, but that did not deter the paddlers from racing to the finish in Driftwood.
Finishers and volunteers met at the Sinnemahoning Volunteer Fire Department for dinner and awards. The top three finishers in the 14 classes took home replicas of paddles created out of cherry wood donated by Emporium Hardwoods, designed by Art N Ink, engraved and finished by Cool’s Auto Service and Total Engraving. Music was provided by the Sinnemahoning Tavern, which drew a large crowd following the race.
