Sinnemahone Triple Crown Ready to Paddle
Registration for the upcoming Sinnemahone Paddle opened Friday February 15. The race will be held Saturday April 6 using the same course as the Cameron County Canoe and Kayak. The 12 mile course begins at the boat launch across from the Emporium Country Club. It ends at the Driftwood bridge.
New this year is chip timing for the event, ACA membership and a meal served by the Sinnemahoning Fire Department at its firehouse. The meal includes vegetarian ziti, broccoli chicken alfredo, spaghetti, meatballs, salad, rolls, deserts and non-alcoholic beverages.
Registration and waiver forms can be printed from the race website at www.sinnemahone.org. The deadline to register and be guaranteed a t-shirt is March 18.
The second leg of the Sinnemahone Triple Crown is the Sinnemahone Gravel Road Race for bicycles. It will be held Saturday September 28 in conjunction with the All Fired Up Kickin Ash BBQ. The race and bbq sponsored by Embassy Powdered Metals. Registration for that race will open March 1.
