Christmas House Tour Planned for the Holiday Season
Cameron County Fireworks Committee resurrecting a popular event during Christmas in the Wilds weekend December 8 & 9. The Christmas House tour this year will include discounts at select restaurants and businesses. The proceeds will benefit the Cameron County Fireworks held each July.
The Holiday House Tours and Light Decorating Contest add a fun element to Christmas in the Wilds. The Cameron County Chamber of Commerce is coordinating the events and has begun signing up participants. There is no fee to participate in the house tour. “Be willing to show off the inside of your home is the only requirement,” according to chamber director Tina Solak. There is a $5.00 fee to enter the house decorating contest. That puts your house on the widely distributed map and gives you eligibility to win cash prizes.
