Regina G. "Jean" Bauer

Regina G. "Jean" Bauer, 93, of 133 E. Fifth St., Emporium, PA died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA Monday (August 7, 2017) afternoon following a brief illness. She was born April 1, 1924 in Stump Creek, PA a daughter of the late Patrick and Ann Kristofic Felix. On April 27, 1946 in Sykesville, PA she married the late Guy Bauer.

Jean attended Sykesville High School and later earned her GED. In 1942 she came to Emporium and was employed by Sylvania Electric Products. After raising her family, she worked at Cameron County High School cafeteria and Olivett's grocery store. She attended St. Mark Catholic Church where she taught Catechism for several years. She was a member of St. Mark C.D. of A. and the Rosary Society. Jean was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put her family first.

She is survived by three daughters, Kathy (Earl) Haberstroh, Monroeville; Toni (David) Dresser, Emporium; Christine (Dave) Hickoff, Fenton, MI; two sons, Richard "Rick" (Barbara) Bauer, Emporium; and Gerard (Debbie) Bauer, Beaver Dam, WI; fifteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren, three sisters, Bernadette Felix, Anastasia Shilala and Mary Jo Ulishney, all of DuBois; three brothers, Edward Felix, Stump Creek; Regis Felix, DuBois; and Ted Felix, Falls Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Ann Felix. husband, Guy Bauer who died December 22, 2003; one granddaughter, Kendyl Shaffer, two brothers, Paul and Pat Felix and a sister, Marcella Kuritz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at the St. Mark Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (August 12, 2017) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Friday from 4-7 PM. Burial will follow at St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
