Cameron County Community Chest 2016 Fund Drive – January Update

Cameron County Community Chest 2016 Fund Drive – January Update

The Cameron County Community Chest Board of Directors wishes everyone a very Happy New Year. As of January 13, we have collected $11,580.50 toward our $20,200 goal. Which puts us at 57% of our goal. Thanks to all who have contributed so far. The 2016 fund drive will stay open until September 30th.

This month’s featured organization will be the Community Nurses, Inc.

Community Nurses, Inc. is a non-profit home care organization established in 1929 that provides comprehensive services to the residents of Cameron, Elk and McKean Counties and parts of Clearfield, Jefferson and Potter Counties.

Services include:

• Home Health Services- provides in-home skilled medical services which include Skilled Nursing, Rehab Therapy, Social Services and Nutrition Counseling.

• Hospice Services- provides terminally ill patients with the assistance they need to live their remaining days in the comfort of home or their nursing home residence.

• Home Support/Private Duty-offers non-medical supportive in-home services, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to help people remain independent and safe in their homes. Services include, but are not limited to personal care, bathing assistance, hair care, preparing meals, laundry, shopping and respite care.

• Adult Day Services-offers an activity-oriented, medically supervised day program for people 60 and older with physical or mental limitations. The Center is located in St. Marys and is open 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

No donation/memorial is too small. Please send your tax-deductible contribution to: Cameron County Community Chest, PO Box 134, Emporium, PA. 15834, Attn: Judd Schager.

Help support the Recreation Board, Community Nurses, Red Cross, Friends of the Library, the Package Team, and the Garden Club.
