Luzdelia "Lucy" Gutgsell



Luzdelia "Lucy" Gutgsell, 93, of 48 Wheaton Hollow Rd, Emporium, PA
 died at Guy & Mary Felt Manor, Emporium, PA Thursday morning, (December 3, 2015).

She was born October 17, 1922 in Panama a daughter of the late Alcides and Benigna Barriou Dominguez.


On October 31, 1970 in Dover, Delaware she married Gerald "Jerry" Gutgsell, who survives.
She was a loving wife of over 45 years. In her younger years, Lucy performed her national dance at carnivals in Panama City. She and her older brother also taught the national dance to others. Lucy worked for the government in the Agriculture Department as a photographer. She later worked as the General Council of the Panamanian government in Philadelphia and Italy. Lucy came to the United States in 1961 and became a US citizen in 1972. She was a member of St. Mark Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dancing, playing piano and bongos, fishing, gardening, sewing, and bargain shopping.

There will be No Visitation.
 Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. Mark Catholic Church 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Saturday (December 12, 2015) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.


Burial will be in the Germania Cemetery, Galeton, PA
