Albert "Clink" Streich, Jr


Albert "Clink" Streich, Jr., 91, of 418 Spring St., Emporium, PA died at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA on Saturday (December 27, 2014) morning.

He was born February 21, 1923 in Emporium, PA a son of the late Albert and Margaret Zurflue Streich. On July 5, 1947 in Reynoldsville, PA he married the late Regis Halowell Streich.

Mr. Streich served with the US Army, Company B 350th infantry, during WW II. He received a Purple Heart medal and also campaign medal with 2 bronze stars. Clink retired after over 43 years as a truck driver for Sylvania. He was a member of the First Presbyterian church, VFW, where he served as a past commander, member of th Moose, Bucktail Rod & Gun Club and the Sinnamahoning Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, viewing the elk and collecting antler sheds. He likes the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philies and most of all spending time with his family.

Sister: Lois Gribble, Emporium 
Sister: Judy Farren, Emporium 
Several nieces and nephews

Preceded in Death By Parents: Albert and Margaret Zurflue Streich 
Wife: Regis Halowell Streich 
5 Sisters: Dorothy Streich, Kay Quigley, Charmain Donovan, Evelyn Benedict & Mabel Gennocro Brother: Herbert "Chub" Streich

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium, PA on Tuesday (December 30, 2014) at 11:00 AM with Rev. Philip W. Sanders, Pastor of First Presbyterian Church, officiating. A Military Service will be accorded by the Cameron County Memorial Detail.

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Monday from 6-8 PM.

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
