Mountaineer Search and Rescue
volunteers report several sightings of the elusive Big Foot in Cameron County. Researchers from across the country have come
on three occasions to the Driftwood area to document eyewitness accounts.
This year the hunt is set for
Saturday July 5 starting at sunrise till 1pm.
Prizes will be awarded during the Weekend in the Wilds event at the
Emporium mini-park at 2pm.
Hunters must possess a license, which
can be purchased for $5.00 from the Cameron County Chamber of Commerce, Elk
Country Store, Medix Run Hotel, Sinnemahoning Tavern or South Park Supply. Big Foot has been known to travel on trails
throughout the county and this year a map will be provided with the license.
The hunt benefits Mountaineer Search
and Rescue. Sales of licenses end Friday
July 4 at 9pm.
