Gerald P. "Bub" Gillette



Gerald P. "Bub" Gillette, 69, of 321 Portage St., Emporium, died at his residence on Saturday afternoon(March 20, 2010) after a brave battle with brain cancer. He was born March 9, 1941 in St. Marys a son of the late Philip and Juanita "Sis" Johnson Gillette. On February 4, 1967 in St. Marks Catholic Church he married Donna Armstrong Gillette, who Survives.
Mr. Gillette graduated from Cameron County High School in the class of 1959. He graduated with an associate degree from Bryant Stratton Business Institute in Buffalo, NY. He served with the US Army from 1963 to 1965. He worked for DCNR; Bureau of Parks. Years ago he worked for M & M Pipeline and Emporium Equipment Rentals. He was a member of St. Marks Catholic Church, Third degree and life member of the Knights of Columbus, Emporium Council #990. He was a coach for the Cameron County Little League, where he coached boys and girls, for many years and also served on the Board of Directors.

Surviving in addition to his wife Donna are two daughters Lori, Mrs. Paul Mall, Jr. of Emporium, Lisa, Mrs. Joey White, of Irving, TX, two sons, Brian Gillette and his wife Lori, and Steven Gillette & his fiance Francine Guisto & family of Emporium, a sister, Donna, Mrs. Sonny Abriatis of Emporium, 8 Grandchildren; Cassidy, Sydney, Madison, Nicholas, Seth, Alison, Taylor & Jase amd 2 Great Grandchildren Cami & Reese.
He was preceded in death by by his parents, Philip and Sis Gillette and a brother, Carl Joseph Gillette.

A mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at St. Marks Catholic Church, 235 East Fourth Street, Emporium on Tuesday (March 23, 2010) at 10:30 AM with Rev. Paul S. Siebert, Pastor, as Celebrant.

Visitation with Tribute Video will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM, where a Vigil Service will be held at 2PM.
Burial will be in the St. Mark Catholic Cemetery, Emporium, PA
